FAQ

How do you structure your pricing?

When producing an estimate for our clients it is extremely important to us to set realistic expectations and deliver accurate numbers on the front end of the project. Our philosophy of home building and remodeling emphasizes trust and reliability through a deliberate focus on clear communication and honesty from start to finish.

We often are not the cheapest bidder but do our part to reduce the potential for change orders by setting realistic expectations and informing you of the more complicated aspects of the project to help you make decisions. The process that we have developed over years of experience gives you the tools and confidence to build your dream home with speed and efficiency while staying on budget.

What is your approach when working with a new customer?

We start by identifying what objectives are the most important to you about your project. We take the time to learn what your ideal result would be and help you achieve that with personalized attention, education, and procedures that simplify the vast array of information and products in a step-by-step format.

We think it's important for our clients to feel in control of the building process and enjoy watching their dream home come together.  We have integrated modern technology into our procedures that make it easy to keep track of all your products in your home and give you an organized product schedule so there are no surprises or delays to your job. Receive job updates easily and always stay connected with our simple home-building process we know you will enjoy.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Phillip Price Construction was founded in the mid-'80s after Phillip Price himself spent 10 years working in the trade. Starting as a journeymen carpenter, and later becoming a valuable foreman building large tracts and custom homes, this experience laid the foundation for Phillip Price to start his own business as a residential general contractor in 1985. Since Phillip Price construction's founding, it has focused on simplifying the home building process and building brilliant homes with meticulous attention to detail.

What types of customers have you worked with?

We have worked with a variety of customers in a number of unique situations, from small kitchen remodels and additions to building large luxurious 5,000 sqft homes. We can customize our approach to accommodate your objectives whether it be budget, speed, luxury, or personal involvement. Our objective is to make the process of building homes simple and enjoyable for small and large projects alike.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

In the bay area, there are a lot of contractors to choose from but the most important aspect you should look for in a contractor is to make sure you can comfortably communicate with them. Communication is the most important aspect of the building process because of how long the building process can take as well as a large number of decisions and intricacies that are involved in building a home.

Another aspect people should look for in a contractor is age and experience. We have met a lot of clients in the Bay Area that have had many problems with young or inexperienced contractors that seem inexpensive and professional but end up costing clients a lot of time and money as well as delivering very poor results.
